Personal Computers Warranty Policy for UPS

1. Product Claiming Period
Warranty claims can only be made within the stated warranty period from the delivery date as mentioned on the original invoice.
2. Warranty Conditions for Replace/Repair
2.1 Replacement with New Unit
Within the warranty period, the UPS may be replaced with a new unit under the following conditions:
- If factory defects are identified within the first 30 days of purchase that affect the overall functionality of the UPS.
- Battery(s) will have a warranty of 3 Months from the date of Purchase.
- PC reserves the right to decide on the course of servicing the warranty based on each case.
2.2 Repair and Defective Parts Replacement
Within the warranty period, defective parts will be repaired or replaced based on the following conditions:
- Any hardware defect not covered under the critical component replacement clause will be repaired or defective parts replaced at no cost to the customer, provided it falls within the warranty terms.
- The repair timeline and part availability will be communicated to the customer by the Personal Service Center.
3. Post Installation Test:
- Post-Installation Testing: If the product is offered including installation services, our Personal Service Center team will conduct a comprehensive check of the UPS in collaboration with the customer, ensuring all necessary testing is performed following installation.
4. Exclusions the warranty does not cover:
- Accessories: Any accessories purchased with the product package will not be covered under warranty after 48 hours from the date of purchase.
- Normal Wear & Tear of Battery: UPS Batteries have a limited lifespan and will naturally degrade over time due to regular use.
5. Conditions that Void the Warranty
- Unauthorized Repairs: If repairs or modifications are performed by anyone other than Personal Service Center, the warranty will be void.
- Improper Installation: Failure to install the UPS according to the manufacturer’s guidelines, which can lead to operational issues.
- Neglect or Misuse: Damage resulting from improper use, including overloads, misuse of features, or failure to follow operating instructions.
- Environmental Damage: Exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, or corrosive substances that exceed the specified operating conditions.
- Power Surges or Spikes: Damage caused by electrical surges or spikes not attributable to the UPS itself.
- Failure to Maintain: Not performing regular maintenance or testing as recommended in the user manual can void the warranty.
- Battery Replacement: Use of non-manufacturer approved batteries or battery replacements can void the warranty.
- Cosmetic Damage: Scratches, dents, or other superficial damage that does not affect functionality is typically not covered.
- Natural Disasters: Damage resulting from acts of God, such as floods, earthquakes, or lightning strikes.
- Modifications: Any unauthorized changes or modifications to the UPS system or its components.
- Product Information Tag damage: The model number, serial number or warranty stickers have been removed or tampered with.
- Customer-Induced Damage (CID): Customer-Induced Damage refers to any damage caused by mishandling, misuse, or accidents. Cracked or broken scanner glass/UPS display, Liquid spills causing internal damage, Physical damage due to drops or impacts.
- CID Handling:
- Inspection and Assessment: If your UPS experiences an issue, our service center will inspect and assess the damage. If CID is identified, you will receive a detailed report on request and repair cost estimate.
- Repair Options: 2) Out-of-Warranty Repair: Repairs for CID are not covered under the standard warranty and will be performed at the customer’s expense. 3) Replacement Options: In cases where repair is not feasible, options for a replacement UPS will be provided at a discounted rate.

- Online Support: Troubleshooting via online support/call.
- Carry-in Service: Requires the customer to bring the UPS to Personal Service Center.
7. Fault Reporting
- All products covered under warranty are thoroughly checked before dispatch for any physical damage or faults. If the customer finds any fault, it has to be informed via email or Viber to PC within 72 hours for PC to evaluate.
- PC will not be responsible for any damages to the product during transit.
- If there is a factory fault with the UPS or its functionality, it is the customer’s responsibility to inform Personal Computers via Customer Service Viber 7741033 or email at info@personalcomputers.mv with detailed information.

Once a warranty claim is registered, our service team will guide the customer through the next steps, including diagnostics, repair, or replacement if applicable.
